One week on insulin

I had a doctor appointment this morning so that my endocronologist could check my blood sugar levels now that I have been on insulin for a full week. The nurse was very pleased with my progress and only had to adjust my insulin doses a small bit. I was happy that all of the diet, exercise, and shots are working!

This has been a very exhausting week. Grady was very sick, running a 102 degree fever for several days. His fever broke last night, but he is still recovering at home. It has been quite a challenge doing everything on my own. I realize I rely on him so much to help me make meals! We are both looking forward to a relaxing weekend!

In other baby news, my best friend from high school, Trisha, and her husband, Andy, had a baby boy on Saturday, January 24th. Carter Jack Hasbrouck was 6 lbs, 14 ounces, and 20 inches long. Congrats to the new parents!
