On Saturday, I had a baby shower in San Antonio. It was so much fun because I was able to see a lot of my girlfriends who live out of town. Amberly came in from Houston, Ashley and Courtney came in from Dallas, Grace came in from Katy, Trisha drove in from Cedar Hill, Alex came in from Corpus, Keri drove in from Flatonia, and DeeDee drove in with Nico from Austin.
Me with the Roo's auntie, Courtney, and her Mimi!
Grady's mom, Susan. We are still working on that grandma name. We are liking Gigi, but we might just wait and see what the baby comes up with! The best part was that Trisha and DeeDee brought their little boys (Carter and Nico). They are both BEAUTIFUL! I am so excited to share this time with them. Pretty soon, those two are going to have a little girl to fight over. :)
The shower was thrown by Marissa Morales, Kelly McGinnis, Cecily Martinez, Daphne Austin, Amberly Sheppard, Ashley Field, Toti Walia, and DeeDee Cauwe. We had it at Marissa's house and she had it decorated so cute! The table decorations were baby books and stuffed animals which she gave to me as a gift. Such a cute idea. The food looked amazing - Marissa has a chocolate fountain which was a huge hit. Although it was a little rough for me since I could not partake due to the gestational diabetes.
But....we had a fabulous time and the Roo got some amazing gifts. The hostesses gave us her little swing which is too precious for words. Grady put it together on Sunday and we have it set up and ready to go in the living room. We cant believe in about a month our little angel will be sleeping in there! Some of the fun moments:
A pink tutu from my godmother, Kathie.
Alex (my brother-in-law, Kyle's, girlfriend) handmade me a beautiful minky dot quilt as well as some small stuffed animals. My favorite was the "panther" which Ashley said looked like a chupacabra!
Grace got the Roo some Juicy Couture pacifiers! Of course my baby has JUICY!
The Seguin Matadors! Me, Alison, Trisha (with Carter), DeeDee (with Nico), and Grace. Alison's son, Hudson, was at the shower, but Grace's son Murphy had the flu! Poor little guy!
