Since our return from Colorado, we have been busy, busy. busy. The cub has been busy learning as well. She is able to do a variety of animal sounds (sheep, horse, bunny, turkey, snake, whale, dog, cat, donkey, elephant, bear, lion, chicken). She also mimics what we say now (which isn't exactly a good thing, like when I call someone a ding dong). The words she uses daily are: juice, mama, dada, milk, pool, please, outside, hot, ice, hat, water, poo poo (she tells us before she does it), more, chair, bug, bee, book, up, bow, baby, no, socks, shoes, soft, hair, eyes, ear, nose, and teeth. She knows and can point to Mimi and Pampa, Papa D and Sassue, Uncle Boo (Kyle) and Kacee. She says"B" for JB's picture. She calls "mama mama" when she wakes from her nap and makes animal sounds when she wakes in the morning (usually he haw). She says dada when she hears Grady's truck. She says "uh oh" for spaghetti o's and "oh-li" for ravioli. She can point to her hair, ears, eyes, nose, teeth and tummy. She will point out animals and objects in books (trains, birds, deer, sun, boat, Mickey and Toodles). She says wind and moves her hand above her head. She says "hot" when we get in the car and asks for "AC". She can say necklace and sunglasses - which she loves wearing. She always says "no" when I ask her for a kiss or if she wants to take a nap. She loves closing the refrigerator, cabinets, and doors. She recognizes and says Jesus when reading her books and also asks to see Mary at church. During dinner prayers, she likes to hold mine and Grady's hand and then shouts "ah!" at the end.
Pretty darn smart for a 16 month old!!!!!

She LOVES Mickey. We watch the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse everyday, and she has to have Mickey to sleep with. That is one of the signs when I know its nap time, because she will ask "Mickey?" Like, isn't it time I joined him for a snooze? This little outfit was made by Katherine Ewald from her BeBe Gear line.
One of her favorite exhibits at Sea World is the seal and sea lion pool. She copies their noises and smiles and laughs when they splash around.
Playing in the water park at Sea World.
Pool date with Sofia Morales. Demà LOVES the water and had so much fun playing in the pool. (My camera got a little wet so the picture is foggy)
One of my friends from UT, Dori, was in town for vacation with her husband and her 20 month old son, Tommy. Dori and her husband, Lucas, just moved back to Texas from San Diego so we hope to see a lot more of them. Dori is having her second, another boy, in October.
Tommy at lunch - how cool is he?

A souvenir shirt from Colorado.
With Pampa on his birthday
Save some for us, Cubbie!
Getting some help from Pampa on the playground
All of this playing and learning is exhausting!!!
