The Great Egg Hunt

This weekend marked the beginning of our Easter celebration.  We headed over to Seguin where Mimi had eggs ready for the cub to dye.
Mimi showing Demí how to use the metal dipper to lower the egg into the dye.
Scooping out the egg. It's blue!!!
Trying to use the scoop on her own.
This metal scoop is too difficult.  I am just going to use my hands.
Splash!!!!
See how much easier this is than using the scoop?!
The only problem is that now her hand matches the egg.
"I did it!" she yelled.
This one is pink.
Now my mouth is pink from trying to eat it.
Let the great egg hunt begin!
Now the egg hunt begins.  After she finds an egg, she runs to me to open it, eats the contents and then drops the egg.
Racing to the egg.
Found another one.  I hope this one has goldfish inside!
Put the empties in the basket.
She really got into it.
She yelled "here eggs!" when we told her there were more out there.
Day 2: A second egg hunt.  This one starts out with dandelion picking.

Oh boy!  She spots her first egg!

Wanna see some magic? Grady calls this picture her David Blaine trick because it looks like she is making the egg hover.
More dandelions!
Hanging out with Scarlett in their matching outfits.
The cub really wasn't interested in posing for photos, but Scarlett was!

We also went with Mimi and Pampa to the annual Flapjack Jamboree.
Yummy ca-cakes!
Besides eating an entire pancake and sausage, Demí enjoyed listening to the band that was playing.  She would clap at the end of every song and yell "more music!"

The smell of pancakes and a high school band must be very relaxing.
