On Thursday, the appellate section threw Grady and me a wonderful baby shower at Mirador, a Mexican restaurant downtown. It was adorable. There was a poster with a baby picture of me and Grady and the guests had to guess who was who (a princess sticker went under me and a Star Wars sticker went under Grady).
Bobi, our victim's advocate, created the most adorable centerpieces with parasols and pink toys. It was a really nice shower and the Roo got some super adorable gifts. One of my favorites was a wreath that Crystal made - it was made with fabric that matches the Roo's nursery and she pinned booties, teethers, bows, and socks all around it. A second favorite was a handmade blanket that Bobi made. It is absolutely beautiful - lace, pink, embriodery - everything a little baby girl deserves. The appellate section all chipped in and purchased the toddler carseat for the Roo. I am so blessed to work with such generous and loving people!
